3 Reasons Why You Should List Your Prices On Your Website

When I first started my business I thought no way was I going to post my prices on my website. I felt awkward about it. I didn't see many people in my field doing it at the time. However, these days most designers are posting their prices! Transparency is key to a successful relationship with a client.

If your a designer, photographer or creative entrepreneur, I encourage you to consider posting your prices. Here are my reasons:

Riley Yahr Creative Studio | Blog | Prices

1 . It eliminates the back and forth with inquiries

So you get a client inquiry and take the time to respond and set up a phone call to discuss the project to find that your prices are above their budget. Sound familiar? This back and fourth not only wastes your time, but also the time of the other person who inquired. If you post your prices it will save your time, and most likely will result in a booking.

2. You'll get serious inquiries only

If your post your prices, chances are, you'll only get inquiries from clients who can afford you and who are serious about it.

 3. Being transparent creates trust

Clients love transparency! If you list your prices, you appear confident and trustworthy. Clients know what their getting into from the beginning.

Note: It's a good idea to explain in detail what's included in the price of each service or product. If you post a price, but don't explain what they're getting, you might risk scaring off clients.
